Who am I now?

Yoni and You - Georgina Pharo

Motherhood has a way of changing us, unravelling us as we step into a role filled with expectations. We are humans, women, and mothers, constantly evolving and discovering new parts of ourselves along the way. That's the beauty of it all.

Life moves forward and so do we. We are not meant to remain stagnant in who we used to be. The journey of motherhood is about becoming, about growth and transformation. It's easy to get caught up in the idea of losing ourselves in a role we've always dreamed of, but we forget to embrace the present and nurture ourselves along the way.

Yes, seeking support and guidance can be helpful, but true transformation comes from within. It's natural to feel fear, guilt, and shame when making decisions based on our own needs, especially when we're so used to putting our children first. But what if taking care of ourselves actually benefits our children as well? They need a mother who prioritizes self-care, showing them the importance of valuing themselves.

Motherhood gives us permission to be ourselves, to evolve and grow while acknowledging our strength. It's okay to soften, to find happiness in the present moment, we deserve to honour who we are becoming on this journey.
